2026 SUMMER SCHEDULE & THEMES
June 8 - 12 Nature
From camping to plants to fishing! We have a fun filled week. We will learn how to pitch a tent, make smores, learn plants from seeds to flowers and even get a hook wet!
June 15 - 19 History
Focus will be on Colonial Period. We will visit the Moores Creek Battlefield. See a musket demonstration and wear colonial clothing. We will visit Tryon Palace in New Bern too
June 22 - 26 Animal
We will be visiting Airlie Gardens for a private educational tour about local animals and their habitats.
*June 29 - July 2 Spirit Week
Enjoy fun daily themes with craft and games. Finish the week by decorating a float and “parade” through the neighborhood followed by a July 4th dance party, “Party In the USA”
July 6 - 10 Space
From Rockets to Constellations. We will all become astronauts exploring beyond our planet! Learning about constellations, seeing them firsthand on the dome at Ingram Planetarium
July 13 - 17 Culinary Quest
Students will learn how to prepare a different entree for lunch each day, plate presentation, and create fun snacks. We will teach etiquette as well. Showing off etiquette at a restaurant, showing off our manners at a restaurant.
July 20 - 24 Oceanography
Take a dive under the sea to find the mysteries of the ocean. We will visit Kure Beach with Ocean Studies, learn all about sea creatures and fish on the pier.
July 27 - 31 Pirate Week
Argh Mates! We will learn all about pirates and even find our own treasure. We may even meet a fellow pirate on the Pirate Adventure Cruise. We will also be playing mini golf together at Shipwreck Mini Golf.
Aug 3 - 7 Summer Scientist
Learn all about science during a trip to Wonderworks along with a full week of classroom experiments and onsite demonstrations.
Aug 10 - 14 Time Travel
Dinosaurs, Pharaohs and Knights oh my… Kids will travel back in time to visit the land of Dinosaurs, Ancient Egypt and the Renaissance. We will have a fun Renaissance festival complete with costumes and activities.
Aug 17 - 21 Art Week
Learn many genres and mediums of art. We will host our own gallery complete with hors d’oeuvres for family and friends to attend to showcase all our work.
